Students who complete this WebQuest to explore rainforests will maintain detailed and in-depth journals. They will collect, analyze, and compare data for various rainforests and the rates of deforestation. Through this exploration they will work individually and collaboratively with their committee members. They will work together to determine a possible and viable solution for slowing or eliminating the rate of deforestation in the world's rainforests. They should gain a better understanding of deforestation, statistics (in terms of collecting & analyzing data and creating detailed graphs), how to reach consensus, and how to effectively present their solutions/opinions to others.
